FAIR came into existence during a period in which abuses on the Left exceeded those on the Right, primarily because they were enabled by government and institutions. Although it's possible that the Right might not (yet) have the power to capture institutions, there is still a great deal of damage that can be done by government, and we need to be mindful of this.
