Great post from a young intelligent individual who gives us hope for reality and the future.

I personally have an issue with always saying we should be absolutely honest about our history. I find it hard to think that we have not already beat the past to death. We seem to want to burden the citizens of today with the sins of the past. If we can't move from the past, to fixing today, then we continue the same vicious circle. I am not a fan of that and believe we need to understand that great wrongs were committed by many from around the world. From slave owners, tribes that sold their own to slave traders, or those who persecuted others based on skin color or religion not just here but everywhere. It still goes on in Myanmar, China, Africa, Middle East, Europe, and the entire world. Look forward to fixing today. The sins of the past again were not committed by me or my family and I refuse to apologize for what we did not do. My ancestors fought for the Union Army. I do acknowledge the sins were many and wrong, but I cannot travel back in time to change them.

The unkept promises I agree with; but when you have politicians who have done very little for the people who elect them, then I say you get what you chose. Be angry at the politicians who lied to you and got rich while doing it. The cities have seen only declining standards of living, work, education, and health care since Johnson signed the famous Civil Rights Legislation. Why? You train people to be dependent on the government and be a victim, then you have a ready-made consistent and loyal voting base. Think if the NAACP and other organizations had supported politicians based on results? Any efforts today to divide the races can be traced to money and control. BLM, NAACP, ACLU, ANTIFA, and others, just follow the money trail. Same goes for right wing groups, although less influence with large blocks of voters. No just agreeing with MAGA goals does not make you a racist, a whatever your sexual choice is hater, or anything else. It just makes the accuser a bigot for ignoring other opinions.

I believe the FAIR pro-human approach is just a realization that we are all in this together and as the military teaches you; respect and not sympathy goes a long way to equalizing the environment you are in. How about we just work towards fixing the inner cities? Yet, with the same tried and true failed politics it will never happen until the people vote for those who will actually change the system. If they don't, then kick their ass out the next election. Will that happen? No!
