School districts that promote political activism during school hours, or that is coordinated by school employees should be the subjects of lawsuits. A few hefty settlements would bring them around to obeying Civil Rights legislation.
And yet NOBODY teaches pre-kindergarten children that “our country has a sexist history grounded in male privilege” and instructs fifth graders that women receive “overt and subliminal messages about being bad, ugly, and inferior to men.”
I've not looked at any attachments or downloading but I would have thought signposting to appropriate teacher resources about teaching respect for others/tackling discrimination would be useful.
BLM as a sentiment is comparable to MAGA. As with any lives, black lives mattering is something which would always seem true, just as Americans wanting to make America great again. I mean if you're American, who wouldn't want to make their country great? Now are schools also circulating a MAGA toolkit? It's the same kind of noble sentiment that will always stand true for Americans. Endorsing one over the other is simply politics. Can we now have taxpayers who support BLM start to fund the endorsement of MAGA? Equality for all.
Apprecaite the focus on providing actionable tools rather than just critique. The distinction you draw between acknowledging legitimate racial disparities and the methods used to address them is key. I've seen similar tensions play out in local school boards, where good inentions around inclusion sometimes create the opposite effect by focusing on categorical differences.

Gee.
I wonder why.
