Progressives Need To Stop Lecturing White Voters About Their Privilege
For his Substack The American Saga, FAIR Advisor Zaid Jilani writes about why racial messaging is often counterproductive.
So what if a higher percentage of black people are poor than white people? If you help all poor people, then all poor people are helped, whether they’re black, white, brown, or blue. The distribution doesn’t really matter if your policy is ambitious enough — just as we wouldn’t aim anti-suicide interventions at white people in particular just because the rate of suicidal ideation happens to be higher among them than other people for coincidental reasons.
I’m sure there are also a lot of progressives who feel like it’s a betrayal to not instruct a white person about all the benefits they go through life with. But isn’t it a greater betrayal to narrow your political coalition so you can do even less to help those minorities?

While horrifying, this is at some level not surprising. Russians and other Eastern Europeans have a long tradition of maskirovka—skillful camouflage designed to confuse and manipulate an opponent—and subtle infiltration of systems has long been a strategy for Communists of all backgrounds.
So why won’t American teachers and textbooks and journalists admit it? Maybe because admitting that Communist infiltration of the United States, abetted by geopolitical foes like Russia and Red China, was never a made-up bogeyman would mean realizing that such a threat could still be a real threat to American national interests.

Elections are important. Politics is important. Fighting for what we believe in is important. But I look at my friends who hate Harris, and my friends who hate Trump. And I wonder if they aren’t missing out, just a little bit, on the richness and fullness of life. I wonder if their hate might not be crowding out, just a little bit, something better.

How did we get to this point? For the first time in history, the International Olympics Committee this year has permitted two athletes whose sex is unclear to compete in the women’s boxing championships. In addition to Khelif, competing in the 66 kg category, there is Lin Yu-Ting of Taiwan, competing in the 57 kg category.

I am so thankful for media, like The Free Press, that is willing to call out the IOC for their blatant idiocy in allowing men into women's boxing. That there are so few outlets willing to call out the Emperor for his lack of clothing is truly chilling.
