FAIR Webinar Announcement: Antisemitism on Campus: Balancing Student Safety and Civil Liberties
Featuring panelists Nadine Strossen, Jeffrey Lax, and Sahar Tartak. Moderated by FAIR Advisor Jonathan Kay.
Dear Friends of FAIR,
In the wake of the October 7 Hamas attacks on Israel and Israel's resulting efforts to extinguish future terrorist threats by Hamas, college campuses have become hotbeds of tension and conflict. Disturbing reports of discrimination against Jewish students have included harassment and even violence.
Across the country, many are wondering: what can be done to ensure the safety of Jewish students? Has DEI ideology contributed to antisemitism at institutions of higher learning? Can we rely on the principles of free speech to promote pro-human dialogue on this issue? How can we help America’s next generation of thinkers and leaders build a brighter future for all of us?
Join us and hear from New York Law School Professor Emerita, and past national President of the ACLU, Nadine Strossen, CUNY law professor and Director of S.A.F.E. on Campus, Jeffrey Lax, and Yale University sophomore, Sahar Tartak. They will share their own personal stories as well as their perspectives on how we got to this point, and where we go from here. This discussion will be moderated by FAIR Advisor and Quillette editor, Jonathan Kay.
